God is doing good things

God is a good healer:

Matt 8:8-9 (KJ2000) ” 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. 9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.”

I serve Him.

If I get too self focused I become self piteous.
I must always turn my attention to Him. God is doing good things.

 

God is a good forgiver.

Isa 55:6-7 (KJ2000) ” 6 Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

 

God is a good creator.

Isa 55:11 (KJ2000) ” 11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. ”

Ps 33:6 (KJ2000) ” 6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. ”

 

Gen 1:3 (KJ2000) ” 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. ”

Ps 139:13-14 (KJ2000) ” 13 For you have formed my inward parts: you have covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.”

 

I think if I ‘declare’ or say over and over again throughout the day ‘And God said, ‘Let there be light’: and there was light.’ that I would become less blind to His goodness.

 

God is a good faith builder

2Tim 1:13-14 (KJ2000) ” 13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words, which you have heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed unto you keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.”

Gal 3:26-27 (KJ2000) ” 26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

Eph 2:8 (KJ2000) ” 8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: ”

 

God is hope full

Acts 2:25-28 (KJ2000) ” 25 For David spoke concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27 Because you will not leave my soul in hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption. 28 You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your countenance.”

Rom 8:24-27 (KJ2000) ” 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our weakness: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

God is a great lover.

1John 4:7 (KJ2000) ” 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loves is born of God, and knows God. ”

1John 4:10 (KJ2000) ” 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ”

Luke 10:36 (KJ2000) ” 36 Which now of these three, think you, was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves? ”
I feell this one needs some explanation. We are suppossed to love our neighbor. And who is our neighbor? Anyone we see in need.

God is a great lover by revealing himself.
Rom 1:19 (KJ2000) ” 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has showed it unto them. ”

God is a great lover by serving..
John 13:14 (KJ2000) ” 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet; you also ought to wash one another’s feet. ”

God is a great lover by giving.
Matt 25:37-40 (KJ2000) ” 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we you hungry, and fed you? or thirsty, and gave you drink? 38 When saw we you a stranger, and took you in? or naked, and clothed you? 39 Or when saw we you sick, or in prison, and came unto you? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.”

Matt 6:31-33 (KJ2000) ” 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, How shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. 33 But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

‘Jesus, You are so good. Keep my eye on You by the power of Your Holy Spirit.’

Jesus/God is perfectly good.

What this means is unknowable.  If I imagine the highest ideal of goodness that I can, God is infinitely above and beyond that.  If all the computers and all the people throughout time come up with a concept of ultimate goodness.  God is infinitely better.

I can only praise Him at this point.  His goodness is infinite.
