Day 1

1 – Inspired the Bible

2Pet 1:19 Moreover, we possess the prophetic word as an altogether reliable thing. You do well if you pay attention to this as you would to a light shining in a murky place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

2Pet 1:20 Above all, you do well if you recognize this: No prophecy of scripture ever comes about by the prophet’s own imagination,

2Pet 1:21 for no prophecy was ever borne of human impulse; rather, men carried along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

This is including current prophesy and controlling our tongue today.

2Tim 3:14 You, however, must continue in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you

2Tim 3:15 and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

2Tim 3:16 Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

2Tim 3:17 that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.

1Cor 12:3 So I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

1Cor 12:4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.

1Cor 12:5 And there are different ministries, but the same Lord.

1Cor 12:6 And there are different results, but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.

1Cor 12:7 To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all.

1Cor 12:8 For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

1Cor 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,

1Cor 12:10 to another performance of miracles, to another prophecy, and to another discernment of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.

1Cor 12:11 It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as he decides to each person, who produces all these things.

Day 2

2 – He gives me words to speak

Matt 10:18 And you will be brought before governors and kings because of me, as a witness to them and the Gentiles.

Matt 10:19 Whenever they hand you over for trial, do not worry about how to speak or what to say, for what you should say will be given to you at that time.

Matt 10:20 For it is not you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Acts 6:10 Yet they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.

Luke 12:11 But when they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you should make your defense or what you should say,

Luke 12:12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you must say.”

Luke 21:13 This will be a time for you to serve as witnesses.

Luke 21:14 Therefore be resolved not to rehearse ahead of time how to make your defense.

Luke 21:15 For I will give you the words along with the wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

Acts 2:4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them.

1Cor 2:10 God has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

1Cor 2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

1Cor 2:12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things that are freely given to us by God.

1Cor 2:13 And we speak about these things, not with words taught us by human wisdom, but with those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people.

1Cor 2:14 The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1Cor 2:15 The one who is spiritual discerns all things, yet he himself is understood by no one.

1Cor 2:16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to advise him? But we have the mind of Christ.

John 6:63 The Spirit is the one who gives life; human nature is of no help! The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Thank you Holy Spirit for guiding and protecting me for infusing me with Your life.  Give me your words to speak that I may be a blessing.

Day 3

3 – The Holy Spirit turns fear to faith

fear to faith

Matt 8:26 But he said to them, “Why are you cowardly, you people of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was dead calm.

Matt 6:31 So then, don’t worry saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’

Matt 6:32 For the unconverted pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

Matt 6:33 But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Luke 12:32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is well pleased to give you the kingdom.

Luke 12:33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves purses that do not wear out – a treasure in heaven that never decreases, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Whenever I am concerned about circumstances, You replace my fear with faith that You will take care of everything.  You always do.

Thank you Holy Spirit.

1Cor 7:19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Instead, keeping God’s commandments is what counts.

1Cor 7:20 Let each one remain in that situation in life in which he was called.

1Cor 7:21 Were you called as a slave? Do not worry about it. But if indeed you are able to be free, make the most of the opportunity.

1Cor 7:22 For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave is the Lord’s freedman. In the same way, the one who was called as a free person is Christ’s slave.

1Cor 7:23 You were bought with a price. Do not become slaves of men.

1Cor 7:24 In whatever situation someone was called, brothers and sisters, let him remain in it with God.

Day 4

4 – He is present in a still small voice

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Ezek 43:5 So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.

1Kgs 19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

1Kgs 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

1Kgs 19:13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Zech 4:6 Therefore he told me, “These signify the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by strength and not by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD who rules over all.”

Zech 4:7 “What are you, you great mountain? Because of Zerubbabel you will become a level plain! And he will bring forth the temple capstone with shoutings of ‘Grace! Grace!’ because of this.”

Help me to listen and obey.  By your power and mercy let your will be done.

Day 5

5 – He is the anointing teaching and living in us

He teaches and lives in us

1John 2:27 Now as for you, the anointing that you received from him resides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, it is true and is not a lie. Just as it has taught you, you reside in him.

John 14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and take up residence with him.

John 14:24 The person who does not love me does not obey my words. And the word you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.

John 14:25 “I have spoken these things while staying with you.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and will cause you to remember everything I said to you.

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.

John 14:28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

Exod 29:7 You are to take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed,

Luke 4:19 to proclaim the year of the Lords favor.

Jas 5:14 Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

Ps 45:7 You love justice and hate evil. For this reason God, your God has anointed you with the oil of joy, elevating you above your companions.

1Chr 16:22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

2Cor 1:21 But it is God who establishes us together with you in Christ and who anointed us,

2Cor 1:22 who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment.

Day 6

6 – The Holy Spirit leads and sends

Acts 13:2 While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Acts 13:3 Then, after they had fasted and prayed and placed their hands on them, they sent them off.

Acts 13:4 So Barnabas and Saul, sent out by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

Acts 13:5 When they arrived in Salamis, they began to proclaim the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. (Now they also had John as their assistant.)

Acts 13:6 When they had crossed over the whole island as far as Paphos, they found a magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus,

Acts 13:7 who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. The proconsul summoned Barnabas and Saul and wanted to hear the word of God.

Acts 13:8 But the magician Elymas (for that is the way his name is translated) opposed them, trying to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

Acts 13:9 But Saul (also known as Paul), filled with the Holy Spirit, stared straight at him

Acts 13:10 and said, “You who are full of all deceit and all wrongdoing, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness – will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?

Acts 13:11 Now look, the hand of the Lord is against you, and you will be blind, unable to see the sun for a time!” Immediately mistiness and darkness came over him, and he went around seeking people to lead him by the hand.

Acts 13:12 Then when the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, because he was greatly astounded at the teaching about the Lord.

Send me for the work for which you have called me

Matt 9:38 Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

Acts 10:34 Then Peter started speaking: “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism in dealing with people,

Acts 10:35 but in every nation the person who fears him and does what is right is welcomed before him.

Acts 10:36 You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, proclaiming the good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all) –

Day 7

7 – He fills us with joy

He fills us with joy

Acts 13:52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

1Thess 1:6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.

1Thess 1:7 As a result you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.

1Thess 1:8 For from you the message of the Lord has echoed forth not just in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place reports of your faith in God have spread, so that we do not need to say anything.

1Thess 1:9 For people everywhere report how you welcomed us and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God

1Thess 1:10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath.

Rom 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ps 51:6 Look, you desire integrity in the inner man; you want me to possess wisdom.

Ps 51:7 Sprinkle me with water and I will be pure; wash me and I will be whiter than snow.

Ps 51:8 Grant me the ultimate joy of being forgiven! May the bones you crushed rejoice!

Ps 51:9 Hide your face from my sins! Wipe away all my guilt!

Ps 51:10 Create for me a pure heart, O God! Renew a resolute spirit within me!

Ps 51:11 Do not reject me! Do not take your Holy Spirit away from me!

Ps 51:12 Let me again experience the joy of your deliverance! Sustain me by giving me the desire to obey!

Ps 51:13 Then I will teach rebels your merciful ways, and sinners will turn to you.

Ps 51:14 Rescue me from the guilt of murder, O God, the God who delivers me! Then my tongue will shout for joy because of your deliverance.

Ps 51:15 O Lord, give me the words! Then my mouth will praise you.

Ps 51:16 Certainly you do not want a sacrifice, or else I would offer it; you do not desire a burnt sacrifice.

Ps 51:17 The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit – O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.

Ps 51:18 Because you favor Zion, do what is good for her! Fortify the walls of Jerusalem!

Ps 51:19 Then you will accept the proper sacrifices, burnt sacrifices and whole offerings; then bulls will be sacrificed on your altar.

Thank you, Holy Spirit for joy.  The joy that comes from humble obedience and from being led by you and cooperating with you.  You have done everything.  I am yours.

Day 8

8 – He intercedes for us

He intercedes for us

Rom 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how we should pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.

Rom 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes on behalf of the saints according to God’s will.

Luke 11:1 Now Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he stopped, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

Luke 11:2 So he said to them, “When you pray, say: Father, may your name be honored; may your kingdom come.

Luke 11:3 Give us each day our daily bread,

Luke 11:4 and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And do not lead us into temptation.”

Luke 11:5 Then he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,

Luke 11:6 because a friend of mine has stopped here while on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him.’

Luke 11:7 Then he will reply from inside, ‘Do not bother me. The door is already shut, and my children and I are in bed. I cannot get up and give you anything.’

Luke 11:8 I tell you, even though the man inside will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of the first man’s sheer persistence he will get up and give him whatever he needs.

Luke 11:9 “So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.

Luke 11:10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Luke 11:11 What father among you, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?

Luke 11:12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?

Luke 11:13 If you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Holy Spirit, teach me to pray and pray for me.  Thank you.

Day 9

9 – the Holy Spirit will guide me into all truth

John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come.

John 16:20 I tell you the solemn truth, you will weep and wail, but the world will rejoice; you will be sad, but your sadness will turn into joy.

John 16:21 When a woman gives birth, she has distress because her time has come, but when her child is born, she no longer remembers the suffering because of her joy that a human being has been born into the world.

John 16:22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

John 16:23 At that time you will ask me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.

John 16:24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, so that your joy may be complete.

1Cor 2:10 God has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

1John 2:20 Nevertheless you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.

1John 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Prov 28:5 Evil people do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it all.

Jas 1:5 But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

Jas 1:16 Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters.

Jas 1:17 All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.

Jas 1:18 By his sovereign plan he gave us birth through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

Matt 1:20 When he had contemplated this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

conceive all truth in me, Holy Spirit come.

Day 10

10 – He loves through us

He loves through us

Rom 5:5 And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

2Cor 6:3 We do not give anyone an occasion for taking an offense in anything, so that no fault may be found with our ministry.

2Cor 6:4 But as God’s servants, we have commended ourselves in every way, with great endurance, in persecutions, in difficulties, in distresses,

2Cor 6:5 in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in troubles, in sleepless nights, in hunger,

2Cor 6:6 by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by benevolence, by the Holy Spirit, by genuine love,

2Cor 6:7 by truthful teaching, by the power of God, with weapons of righteousness both for the right hand and for the left,

2Cor 6:8 through glory and dishonor, through slander and praise; regarded as impostors, and yet true;

2Cor 6:9 as unknown, and yet well-known; as dying and yet – see! – we continue to live; as those who are scourged and yet not executed;

2Cor 6:10 as sorrowful, but always rejoicing, as poor, but making many rich, as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

2Cor 13:13 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

2Cor 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

communion = G2842 (Mickelson’s Enhanced Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries)

G2842 κοινωνία koinonia (koy-nown-ee’-ah) n.

  1. partnership
  2. (literally) participation
  3. (social) intercourse
  4. (financial) benefaction

KJV: (to) communicate(-ation), communion, (contri-)distribution, fellowship

1Cor 8:2 If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know.  1Cor 8:3 But if someone loves God, he is known by God.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Gal 5:23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Gal 5:24 Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Gal 5:25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit.

Gal 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one another.

Love through me Holy Spirit.

Day 11

11 – He is a gift

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Ezek 36:23 I will magnify my great name that has been profaned among the nations, that you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the sovereign LORD, when I magnify myself among you in their sight.

Ezek 36:24 “‘I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries; then I will bring you to your land.

Ezek 36:25 I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols.

Ezek 36:26 I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.

Ezek 36:27 I will put my Spirit within you; I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes and carefully observe my regulations.

Ezek 36:28 Then you will live in the land I gave to your fathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.

Ezek 36:29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and multiply it; I will not bring a famine on you.

Ezek 36:30 I will multiply the fruit of the trees and the produce of the fields, so that you will never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations.

Ezek 36:31 Then you will remember your evil behavior and your deeds which were not good; you will loathe yourselves on account of your sins and your abominable deeds.

Ezek 36:32 Understand that it is not for your sake I am about to act, declares the sovereign LORD. Be ashamed and embarrassed by your behavior, O house of Israel.

Ezek 36:33 “‘This is what the sovereign LORD says: In the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will populate the cities and the ruins will be rebuilt.

Ezek 36:34 The desolate land will be plowed, instead of being desolate in the sight of everyone who passes by.

Ezek 36:35 They will say, “This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden; the ruined, desolate, and destroyed cities are now fortified and inhabited.”

Ezek 36:36 Then the nations which remain around you will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken – and I will do it!’

Forgive me Holy spirit. I turn to you.

1Tim 4:13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.

1Tim 4:14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift you have, given to you and confirmed by prophetic words when the elders laid hands on you.

1Tim 4:15 Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that everyone will see your progress.

1Tim 4:16 Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

Day 12

12 – The Holy Spirit tests us

The Holy Spirit tests us

To be clear up front.  God does not ever tempt us.  Nor does He try to make our lives hard.  He turns all into gold.  What is evil and trying He turns into an opportunity for growth and smelting.

Deut 13:1 Suppose a prophet or one who foretells by dreams should appear among you and show you a sign or wonder,  Deut 13:2 and the sign or wonder should come to pass concerning what he said to you, namely, “Let us follow other gods” – gods whom you have not previously known – “and let us serve them.”  Deut 13:3 You must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer, for the LORD your God will be testing you to see if you love him with all your mind and being.

Deut 13:4 You must follow the LORD your God and revere only him; and you must observe his commandments, obey him, serve him, and remain loyal to him.

Deut 13:5 As for that prophet or dreamer, he must be executed because he encouraged rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt, redeeming you from that place of slavery, and because he has tried to entice you from the way the LORD your God has commanded you to go. In this way you must purge out evil from within.

Deut 13:6 Suppose your own full brother, your son, your daughter, your beloved wife, or your closest friend should seduce you secretly and encourage you to go and serve other gods that neither you nor your ancestors have previously known,  Deut 13:7 the gods of the surrounding people (whether near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other).  Deut 13:8 You must not give in to him or even listen to him; do not feel sympathy for him or spare him or cover up for him.

Deut 13:9 Instead, you must kill him without fail! Your own hand must be the first to strike him, and then the hands of the whole community.  Deut 13:10 You must stone him to death because he tried to entice you away from the LORD your God, who delivered you from the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.

Deut 13:11 Thus all Israel will hear and be afraid; no longer will they continue to do evil like this among you.

Deut 13:12 Suppose you should hear in one of your cities, which the LORD your God is giving you as a place to live, that Deut 13:13 some evil people have departed from among you to entice the inhabitants of their cities, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods” (whom you have not known before).

Deut 13:14 You must investigate thoroughly and inquire carefully. If it is indeed true that such a disgraceful thing is being done among you,  Deut 13:15 you must by all means slaughter the inhabitants of that city with the sword; annihilate with the sword everyone in it, as well as the livestock.

Deut 13:16 You must gather all of its plunder into the middle of the plaza and burn the city and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the LORD your God. It will be an abandoned ruin forever – it must never be rebuilt again. Deut 13:17 You must not take for yourself anything that has been placed under judgment. Then the LORD will relent from his intense anger, show you compassion, have mercy on you, and multiply you as he promised your ancestors. Deut 13:18 Thus you must obey the LORD your God, keeping all his commandments that I am giving you today and doing what is right before him.

Cleanse me of deceit.

figuratively kill my brother, son, daughter, wife and friend so that I  may love you first and foremost.

read http://www.gotquestions.org/why-does-God-test-us.html  about testing.

Stone the prophet who showed me signs and wonders if anything of what they say leads me astray from you.

Destroy the whole city if it leads away from Jesus.

Thank you for giving me comfort Holy Spirit and for your power.  Guide me in understanding.

Day 13

13 – The Holy Spirit gives courage

Matt 17:7 But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Do not be afraid.”

they were afraid because they saw Jesus transfigured.

Acts 4:31 When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God courageously.

Deut 31:6 Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or tremble before them, for the LORD your God is the one who is going with you. He will not fail you or abandon you!”

1Sam 17:37 David went on to say, “The LORD who delivered me from the lion and the bear will also deliver me from the hand of this Philistine!” Then Saul said to David, “Go! The LORD will be with you.”

Matt 9:2 Just then some people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Have courage, son! Your sins are forgiven.”

Matt 9:22 But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, “Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed from that hour.

Matt 14:26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water they were terrified and said, “It’s a ghost!” and cried out with fear.
Matt 14:27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them: “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”
Matt 14:28 Peter said to him, “Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water.”
Matt 14:29 So he said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.
Matt 14:30 But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Matt 14:31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Matt 14:32 When they went up into the boat, the wind ceased.
Matt 14:33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Acts 28:30 Paul lived there two whole years in his own rented quarters and welcomed all who came to him,
Acts 28:31 proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with complete boldness and without restriction.

Eph 6:18 With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.

Eph 6:19 Pray for me also, that I may be given the message when I begin to speak – that I may confidently make known the mystery of the gospel,

Eph 6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

Day 14

14 – He has a sword which is the word of God

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Rhema = G4487 (Mickelson’s Enhanced Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries)

Matt 4:4 But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Deut 8:3 So he humbled you by making you hungry and then feeding you with unfamiliar manna. He did this to teach you that humankind cannot live by bread alone, but also by everything that comes from the LORD’s mouth.

word = H4161 (Mickelson’s Enhanced Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries)

H4161 מוֹצָא מוֹצָא mowtsa’ (mo-tsaw’) (or motsai {mo-tsaw’}) n-m.

  1. a going forth, i.e. (the act) an egress, or (the place) an exit

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.

Heb 4:13 And no creature is hidden from God, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

Praise you, Holy Spirit for your words.  I live on your direction and power.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God.

John 1:2 The Word was with God in the beginning.

John 1:3 All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.

John 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.

John 1:5 And the light shines on in the darkness, but the darkness has not mastered it.

Day 15

15 – the Holy Spirit knows all people

John 2:24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people.
John 2:25 He did not need anyone to testify about man, for he knew what was in man.

John 2:1 Now on the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,
John 2:2 and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.
John 2:3 When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine left.”
John 2:4 Jesus replied, “Woman, why are you saying this to me? My time has not yet come.”
John 2:5 His mother told the servants, “Whatever he tells you, do it.”

He knows me.  So I do what He tells me.  This is not because He is a bossy person who has to have it his own way.  It is because He knows what is best

Thank you for the best wine, Holy Spirit.

Matt 6:8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Luke 16:15 But Jesus said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in men’s eyes, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly prized among men is utterly detestable in God’s sight.

Acts 15:8 And God, who knows the heart, has testified to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us,

Rom 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes on behalf of the saints according to God’s will.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,

1Cor 3:16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

1Cor 3:17 If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.

1Cor 3:18 Guard against self-deception, each of you. If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.

1Cor 3:19 For the wisdom of this age is foolishness with God. As it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”

1Cor 3:20 And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”

1Cor 3:21 So then, no more boasting about mere mortals! For everything belongs to you,

He knows all people # 2

1Cor 8:1 With regard to food sacrificed to idols, we know that “we all have knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

1Cor 8:2 If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know.

1Cor 8:3 But if someone loves God, he is known by God.

1John 3:16 We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.

1John 3:17 But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?

1John 3:18 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue but in deed and truth.

1John 3:19 And by this we will know that we are of the truth and will convince our conscience in his presence,

1John 3:20 that if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience and knows all things.

1John 3:21 Dear friends, if our conscience does not condemn us, we have confidence in the presence of God,

1John 3:22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing to him.

1John 3:23 Now this is his commandment: that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he gave us the commandment.

1John 3:24 And the person who keeps his commandments resides in God, and God in him. Now by this we know that God resides in us: by the Spirit he has given us.

Thank you for your intimacy.  Search my heart and mind and spirit and lead me toward you.

Ps 139:23 Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!

Ps 139:24 See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path!

Ps 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Ps 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Day 16

16 –  There is no condemnation in the spirit

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Rom 8:2 For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 8:3 For God achieved what the law could not do because it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

Rom 8:4 so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit.

Rom 8:6 For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,

Rom 8:7 because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so.

Rom 8:8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person does not belong to him.

Rom 8:10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is your life because of righteousness.

Rom 8:11 Moreover if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you.

Rom 8:12 So then, brothers and sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh

Rom 8:13 (for if you live according to the flesh, you will die), but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.

Rom 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.

Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Rom 8:16 The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children.

Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ) – if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.

Rom 8:18 For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared to the glory that will be revealed to us.

Rom 8:19 For the creation eagerly waits for the revelation of the sons of God.

Rom 8:20 For the creation was subjected to futility – not willingly but because of God who subjected it – in hope

Rom 8:21 that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of decay into the glorious freedom of God’s children.

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now.

Rom 8:23 Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

Rom 8:24 For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?

Rom 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance.

I hope.  I have peace and life.  I am free.

Thank you Holy Spirit

Day 17

17 – His protection is permanent

Ps 61:4 I will be a permanent guest in your home; I will find shelter in the protection of your wings. (Selah)

Ps 143:8 May I hear about your loyal love in the morning, for I trust in you. Show me the way I should go, because I long for you.

Ps 143:9 Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD! I run to you for protection.

Ps 143:10 Teach me to do what pleases you, for you are my God. May your kind presence lead me into a level land.

Acts 14:23 When they had appointed elders for them in the various churches, with prayer and fasting they entrusted them to the protection of the Lord in whom they had believed.

Ps 61:3 Indeed, you are my shelter, a strong tower that protects me from the enemy.

2Cor 1:10 He delivered us from so great a risk of death, and he will deliver us. We have set our hope on him that he will deliver us yet again,

2Pet 2:9 – if so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials, and to reserve the unrighteous for punishment at the day of judgment,

Ps 121:7 The LORD will protect you from all harm; he will protect your life.

Ps 121:8 The LORD will protect you in all you do, now and forevermore.

2Thess 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

2Tim 4:16 At my first defense no one appeared in my support; instead they all deserted me – may they not be held accountable for it.

2Tim 4:17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed for all the Gentiles to hear. And so I was delivered from the lion’s mouth!

2Tim 4:18 The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever! Amen.

1John 5:18 We know that everyone fathered by God does not sin, but God protects the one he has fathered, and the evil one cannot touch him.

Praise you, Holy Spirit for your permanent protection.

Day 18

18 – He is jealous for me

Deut 32:39 “See now that I, indeed I, am he!” says the LORD, “and there is no other god besides me. I kill and give life, I smash and I heal, and none can resist my power.

Deut 32:40 For I raise up my hand to heaven, and say, ‘As surely as I live forever,

Deut 32:41 I will sharpen my lightning-like sword, and my hand will grasp hold of the weapon of judgment; I will execute vengeance on my foes, and repay those who hate me!

1Cor 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

1Cor 10:22 Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we really stronger than he is?

Help me not be jealous but respect your jealousy and not bow to any other gods

Gal 5:16 But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.

Gal 5:17 For the flesh has desires that are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit has desires that are opposed to the flesh, for these are in opposition to each other, so that you cannot do what you want.

Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity,

Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions,

Gal 5:21 envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!

Exod 34:14 For you must not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

2Cor 11:2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

2Cor 11:3 But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his treachery, your minds may be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Day 19

19 – The Holy Spirit is light

seek the light the truth, the positive, the real blessings that are being showered on you moment by moment.

Gen 1:2 Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.

Gen 1:3 God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light!

Gen 1:4 God saw that the light was good, so God separated the light from the darkness.

Gen 1:5 God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” There was evening, and there was morning, marking the first day.

Ps 16:11 You lead me in the path of life; I experience absolute joy in your presence; you always give me sheer delight.

Ps 104:1 Praise the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are magnificent. You are robed in splendor and majesty.

Ps 104:2 He covers himself with light as if it were a garment. He stretches out the skies like a tent curtain,

Prov 13:9 The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked goes out.

Isa 2:5 O descendants of Jacob, come, let us walk in the LORD’s guiding light.

Isa 58:6 No, this is the kind of fast I want. I want you to remove the sinful chains, to tear away the ropes of the burdensome yoke, to set free the oppressed, and to break every burdensome yoke.

Isa 58:7 I want you to share your food with the hungry and to provide shelter for homeless, oppressed people. When you see someone naked, clothe him! Don’t turn your back on your own flesh and blood!

Isa 58:8 Then your light will shine like the sunrise; your restoration will quickly arrive; your godly behavior will go before you, and the LORD’s splendor will be your rear guard.

Matt 4:16 the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.

Matt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach this message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

Matt 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden.

Matt 5:15 People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

Matt 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.

Matt 6:20 But accumulate for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.

Matt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matt 6:22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If then your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.

                light 2

John 3:21 But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God.

John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke out again, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Acts 13:47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have appointed you to be a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

Acts 26:18 to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

2Cor 4:6 For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.

Eph 1:18 – since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened – so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Eph 5:13 But all things being exposed by the light are made evident.

Eph 5:14 For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says: “Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”

Eph 5:15 Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise,

Eph 5:16 taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Eph 5:17 For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise by understanding what the Lord’s will is.

Eph 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit,

Eph 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your hearts to the Lord,

Eph 5:20 always giving thanks to God the Father for each other in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Eph 5:21 and submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Day 20

20 – Sow to the Spirit

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. For a person will reap what he sows,

Gal 6:8 because the person who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

Gal 6:9 So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.

Gal 6:10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.

So, go to God to get love for friend and enemy today and then plant that love in them. Go to God for joy today (the kind that works even on the worst of days) and then plant that joy in others. Go to God for peace today and then plant that God-peace in the ugliest battle happening around you, and watch it grow. Go to God for patience today and then plant it via hopeful waiting and lavish forgiveness. Go to God for kindness today and dare not to hold it in! Plant it in everyone you meet. Go to God for goodness today and then plant it with delight and a pure heart. Go to God for faithfulness today and then plant it by doing what you said. Go to God for gentleness today and then plant it in a lowly brother/sister who needs your encouragement. Go to God for self-control today and then stand strong, no matter the temptation. Plant it with faith that God will satisfy.    -http://blog.biblearc.com/what-will-you-sow-to-the-spirit-today/

Day 21

21 – He works through us and brings hope

Gal 5:5 For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait expectantly for the hope of righteousness.

Gal 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision carries any weight – the only thing that matters is faith working through love.

He works through us

Job 4:6 Is not your piety your confidence, and your blameless ways your hope?

Ps 39:7 But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope!

Ps 119:49 ז(Zayin) Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.

Ps 119:50 This is what comforts me in my trouble, for your promise revives me.

(Qof)

Ps 119:146 I cried out to you, “Deliver me, so that I can keep your rules.”

Ps 119:147 I am up before dawn crying for help. I find hope in your word.

Day 26

26 – He breaks chains

Acts 12:7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the prison cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, “Get up quickly!” And the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ.”

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were acutely distressed and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “What should we do, brothers?”

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 16:26 Suddenly a great earthquake occurred, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. Immediately all the doors flew open, and the bonds of all the prisoners came loose.

Ps 107:13 They cried out to the LORD in their distress; he delivered them from their troubles.

Ps 107:14 He brought them out of the utter darkness, and tore off their shackles.

Ps 107:15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his loyal love, and for the amazing things he has done for people!

Job 36:5 Indeed, God is mighty; and he does not despise people, he is mighty, and firm in his intent.

Job 36:6 He does not allow the wicked to live, but he gives justice to the poor.

Job 36:7 He does not take his eyes off the righteous; but with kings on the throne he seats the righteous and exalts them forever.

Job 36:8 But if they are bound in chains, and held captive by the cords of affliction,

Job 36:9 then he reveals to them what they have done, and their transgressions, that they were behaving proudly.

Job 36:10 And he reveals this for correction, and says that they must turn from evil.

Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they live out their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness.

Job 36:13 The godless at heart nourish anger, they do not cry out even when he binds them.

Job 36:13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

Day 27

27 – The Holy Spirit grieves over anger

Prov 16:32 Better to be slow to anger than to be a mighty warrior, and one who controls his temper is better than one who captures a city.

Prov 14:29 The one who is slow to anger has great understanding, but the one who has a quick temper exalts folly.

Prov 19:19 A person with great anger bears the penalty, but if you deliver him from it once, you will have to do it again.

Prov 21:14 A gift given in secret subdues anger, and a bribe given secretly subdues strong wrath.

Prov 30:32 If you have done foolishly by exalting yourself or if you have planned evil, put your hand over your mouth!

Prov 30:33 For as the churning of milk produces butter and as punching the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife.

Eccl 7:9 Do not let yourself be quickly provoked, for anger resides in the lap of fools.

1Cor 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.

1Cor 13:5 It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.

1Cor 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

not easily provoked

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity,

Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions,

Gal 5:21 envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!

Eph 4:26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger.

Eph 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Eph 4:31 You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.

Eph 4:32 Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

Day 28

28 – He loves us

perfectly and unceasingly

Matt 5:48 So then, be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Matt 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you,

Matt 5:22 But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says ‘Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.

Matt 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matt 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

Matt 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Matt 5:5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Matt 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

Matt 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Matt 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Matt 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.

Matt 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

Matt 5:11 “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.

Jas 4:4 Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God? So whoever decides to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy.

Jas 4:5 Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”?

Jas 4:6 But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.”

Jas 4:7 So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Jas 4:8 Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded.

Jas 4:9 Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter into mourning and your joy into despair.

Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

Thank you, Holy Spirit for purifying love.  Guide me toward you.  Help me wander less and obey more.  I humbly submit to you.

Day 29

29 – He knows better

Rom 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how fathomless his ways!

Rom 11:34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?

Rom 11:35 Or who has first given to God, that God needs to repay him?

Rom 11:36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.

Phil 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single-minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead,

Phil 3:14 with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Phil 3:15 Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways.

Phil 3:16 Nevertheless, let us live up to the standard that we have already attained.

Day 30

30 – The Holy Spirit speaks what I need to hear

He says what I need to hear,

not what I always want to hear

but excactly what I need

For example, “Don’t worry if you forget things, I will remind you, rely on me”

and “You are learning humility.  Anyone who thinks they don’t need to build their character needs to learn humilty.”

Luke 23:39 One of the criminals who was hanging there railed at him, saying, “Aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us!”  Luke 23:40 But the other rebuked him, saying, “Don’t you fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?   Luke 23:41 And we rightly so, for we are getting what we deserve for what we did, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

Luke 23:42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come in your kingdom.”

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Holy Spirit help  me stand up for you today.  for example, when people blame you for bad things, help me point out all the good things that you have done as well.  Given life, given breath, provided all food and drink.

(also cited in 5)

Day 31

31 – He is servant that we should serve

John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you too ought to wash one another’s feet.

John 13:15 For I have given you an example – you should do just as I have done for you.

John 13:16 I tell you the solemn truth, the slave is not greater than his master, nor is the one who is sent as a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

John 13:17 If you understand these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

Ps 116:16 Yes, LORD! I am indeed your servant; I am your lowest slave. You saved me from death.

Ps 119:17 ג (Gimel) Be kind to your servant! Then I will live and keep your instructions.

Phil 2:1 Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy,

Phil 2:2 complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose.

Phil 2:3 Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

Matt 12:18 Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I take great delight. I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

Matt 20:26 It must not be this way among you! Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

Matt 20:27 and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave –

Matt 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Day 32

32 – He is mighty we should fear Him

Luke 1:49 because he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name;

Luke 1:50 from generation to generation he is merciful to those who fear him.

Gen 22:12 “Do not harm the boy!” the angel said. “Do not do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God because you did not withhold your son, your only son, from me.”

Heb 12:21 In fact, the scene was so terrifying that Moses said, “I shudder with fear.”

Heb 12:28 So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.

Heb 12:29 For our God is indeed a devouring fire.

Eccl 3:14 I also know that whatever God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken away from it. God has made it this way, so that men will fear him.

Deut 10:12 Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you except to revere him, to obey all his commandments, to love him, to serve him with all your mind and being,

Deut 10:16 Therefore, cleanse your heart and stop being so stubborn!

Deut 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God who is unbiased and takes no bribe,

Day 33

33- The Holy Spirit loves with His whole self

love God with all – Mark 12:30

widow’s mite  – Mark 12:44

Mark 12:36 David himself, by the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my lord,Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.”’

Mark 12:14 When they came they said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are truthful and do not court anyone’s favor, because you show no partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”  Mark 12:15 But he saw through their hypocrisy and said to them, “Why are you testing me? Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.”

Mark 12:16 So they brought one, and he said to them, “Whose image is this, and whose inscription?” They replied, “Caesar’s.”  Mark 12:17 Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at him.

who’s image is on us?  God’s.

lets give God what is His.

Day 34

34 – He likes me

Ps 139:17 How difficult it is for me to fathom your thoughts about me, O God! How vast is their sum total!

Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,

Eph 2:5 even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved! –  Eph 2:6 and he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,  Eph 2:7 to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Matt 6:26 Look at the birds in the sky: They do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you more valuable than they are?

Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!

Luke 12:7 In fact, even the hairs on your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

Isa 43:4 Since you are precious and special in my sight, and I love you, I will hand over people in place of you, nations in place of your life.

Titus 3:5 he saved us not by works of righteousness that we have done but on the basis of his mercy, through the washing of the new birth and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Titus 3:6 whom he poured out on us in full measure through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Titus 3:7 And so, since we have been justified by his grace, we become heirs with the confident expectation of eternal life.”

Eph 4:23 to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

Eph 4:24 and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image – in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.

Rom 8:6 For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

2Cor 5:5 Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.

Ps 147:18 He then orders it all to melt; he breathes on it, and the water flows.

Song 2:4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.”

Day 35

35 – He wants us to read the bible

Prov 21:1 The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD like channels of water; he turns it wherever he wants.

Prov 21:2 All of a person’s ways seem right in his own opinion, but the LORD evaluates the motives.

Prov 21:3 To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Prov 21:4 Haughty eyes and a proud heart – the agricultural product of the wicked is sin.

Gen 47:23 Joseph said to the people, “Since I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you. Cultivate the land.

Num 11:7 (Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium.

Deut 14:22 You must be certain to tithe all the produce of your seed that comes from the field year after year.

Isa 55:9 for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans.

Isa 55:10 The rain and snow fall from the sky and do not return, but instead water the earth and make it produce and yield crops, and provide seed for the planter and food for those who must eat.

Isa 55:11 In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.”

Luke 8:11 “Now the parable means this: The seed is the word of God.

Jas 1:21 So put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls.

Jas 1:22 But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves.

1Pet 1:22 You have purified your souls by obeying the truth in order to show sincere mutual love. So love one another earnestly from a pure heart.

1Pet 1:23 You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.

2Tim 3:13 But evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves.  2Tim 3:14 You, however, must continue in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you  2Tim 3:15 and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  2Tim 3:16 Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2Tim 3:17 that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.”

Day 36

36 – the Holy Spirit fills me with humility

1Cor 12:13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether Jews or Greeks or slaves or free, we were all made to drink of the one Spirit.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

1Cor 4:18 Some have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.

1Cor 4:19 But I will come to you soon, if the Lord is willing, and I will find out not only the talk of these arrogant people, but also their power.

1Cor 4:20 For the kingdom of God is demonstrated not in idle talk but with power.

1Cor 4:21 What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod of discipline or with love and a spirit of gentleness?  (meekness)

Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,  Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,  Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  Eph 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Col 3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

Col 3:13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if someone happens to have a complaint against anyone else. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others.

Phil 2:1 Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy,  Phil 2:2 complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose.  Phil 2:3 Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

Phil 2:4 Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.  Phil 2:5 You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had,”

Day 37

37 – Thank Him

Phil 2:14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing,

John 6:11 Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed the bread to those who were seated. He then did the same with the fish, as much as they wanted.

John 6:35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. The one who comes to me will never go hungry, and the one who believes in me will never be thirsty.

John 6:43 Jesus replied, “Do not complain about me to one another.

John 7:38 let the one who believes in me drink. Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water.’”

John 7:39 (Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Day 38

38 – He brings abundance of peace and truth

Jer 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

Jer 33:3 ‘Call on me in prayer and I will answer you. I will show you great and mysterious things which you still do not know about.’

John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, and find pasture.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.

John 14:16 Then I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever –

John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he resides with you and will be in you.

John 14:18 “I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you.

John 14:19 In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.

John 14:20 You will know at that time that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him.”

Rom 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Day 39

39 – He guards our hearts and minds

Phil 4:7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Prov 2:11 Discretion will protect you, understanding will guard you,

Prov 4:6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will guard you.

Deut 32:10 The LORD found him in a desolate land, in an empty wasteland where animals howl. He continually guarded him and taught him; he continually protected him like the pupil of his eye.

Ps 119:9 ב (Bet) How can a young person maintain a pure life? By guarding it according to your instructions!

Ps 119:10 With all my heart I seek you. Do not allow me to stray from your commands!

Ps 119:11 In my heart I store up your words, so I might not sin against you.

Ps 119:12 You deserve praise, O LORD! Teach me your statutes!

Day 40

40 – The Holy Spirit gives us sight

1John 3:2 Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.

Rom 8:18 For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared to the glory that will be revealed to us.

Rom 8:19 For the creation eagerly waits for the revelation of the sons of God.

Prov 20:12 The ear that hears and the eye that sees – the LORD has made them both.

Matt 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Matt 7:3 Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to see the beam of wood in your own?

Matt 11:5 The blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.

Matt 11:6 Blessed is anyone who takes no offense at me.”

Day 41

41 –  The Spirit of God brings life

Gen 1:2 Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.

hovering and brooding brings life.

Deut 32:10 The LORD found him in a desolate land, in an empty wasteland where animals howl. He continually guarded him and taught him; he continually protected him like the pupil of his eye.

Deut 32:11 Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, so the LORD spread out his wings and took him, he lifted him up on his pinions.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,

Luke 1:35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called the Son of God.

Day 42

42 – He births us

John 3:5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

John 3:6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

procreate, regenrate, conceive

we blow like the wind when we follow the Spirit’s promptings.

Rom 8:4 so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

When a man, or a woman, boy or girl, admits he or she needs help and comes to Jesus, then the Spirit does something. God does what no man can do: he imparts his own life to that individual. After all, what is a birth but an impartation, or transferral, of life? When a man and woman have a child, what have they done? In a most remarkable way they have transferred their lives to that child; they have imparted life. -http://www.raystedman.org/new-testament/john/born-of-the-spirit

Day 43

43 – The Holy Spirit gives us power to preach

Power to go and preach

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

Matt 10:7 As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near!’

Matt 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

Luke 9:2 and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Mark 6:12 So they went out and preached that all should repent.

2Tim 2:21 So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

2Tim 2:22 But keep away from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, in company with others who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

2Tim 2:23 But reject foolish and ignorant controversies, because you know they breed infighting.

2Tim 2:24 And the Lord’s slave must not engage in heated disputes but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient,  2Tim 2:25 correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth

2Tim 2:26 and they will come to their senses and escape the devil’s trap where they are held captive to do his will.

Day 44

44 –  He gives me dreams sometimes

Like Joseph

Matt 2:22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. After being warned in a dream, he went to the regions of Galilee.

Acts 2:17 And in the last days it will be,God says, that I will pour out my Spirit on all people, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

Holy Spirit, lead me out of the land of flesh sin and evil sin and into the land of David where I humbly serve you as my king and I will dwell with you in this green pasture.  Lead me into your holiness.

Ps 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Day 45

45 – He is ever present

He is at the beginning and the end right now and everywhere in between

Gen 41:38 So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find a man like Joseph, one in whom the Spirit of God is present?”

Holy Spirit be present in me now and always.

Deut 7:20 Furthermore, the LORD your God will release hornets among them until the very last ones who hide from you perish.

Deut 7:21 You must not tremble in their presence, for the LORD your God, who is present among you, is a great and awesome God.

Isa 48:12 Listen to me, O Jacob, Israel, whom I summoned! I am the one; I am present at the very beginning and at the very end.

He is like the eye in the sky knowing exactly when we should act.  It is a tremendous advantage that keeps us safe.  We are kind of like marines listening to the radio which tells us exactly when to attack and when to wait.

Rev 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end!)

2Thess 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.

Matt 1:23 Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel,” which means “God with us.”

Matt 28:20 teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

1Pet 1:15 but, like the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in all of your conduct,

1Pet 1:16 for it is written, “You shall be holy, because I am holy.”

Lev 11:45 for I am the LORD who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, and you are to be holy because I am holy.

Jude 1:20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith, by praying in the Holy Spirit,

Jude 1:21 maintain yourselves in the love of God, while anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life.

Rev 4:8 Each one of the four living creatures had six wings and was full of eyes all around and inside. They never rest day or night, saying: “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God, the All-Powerful, Who was and who is, and who is still to come!”

Ps 99:5 Praise the LORD our God! Worship before his footstool! He is holy!

1Sam 2:2 No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one other than you! There is no rock like our God!

1Sam 2:3 Don’t keep speaking so arrogantly, letting proud talk come out of your mouth! For the LORD is a God who knows; he evaluates what people do.

I hardly understand your Holiness.  I get a glimpse and am in awe.  Praise you.

47 – The Holy Spirit makes us stand

Jude 1:24 Now to the one who is able to keep you from falling, and to cause you to stand, rejoicing, without blemish before his glorious presence,

Jude 1:25 to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen.

Rom 14:4 Who are you to pass judgment on another’s servant? Before his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

48 – He prays for me (also 8)

Jude 1:20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith, by praying in the Holy Spirit,

In Sincerity, truth, and humility

Rom 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how we should pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.

Rom 8:27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes on behalf of the saints according to God’s will.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,

In tongues and groanings;  1Cor 14:5 I wish you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be strengthened.

1Cor 14:18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you,

1Cor 14:19 but in the church I want to speak five words with my mind to instruct others, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue.

Day 49

49 – The Holy Spirit transforms us

Ps 51:7 Sprinkle me with water and I will be pure; wash me and I will be whiter than snow.

Ps 51:8 Grant me the ultimate joy of being forgiven! May the bones you crushed rejoice!

Ps 51:9 Hide your face from my sins! Wipe away all my guilt!

Ps 51:10 Create for me a pure heart, O God! Renew a resolute spirit within me!

Ps 51:11 Do not reject me! Do not take your Holy Spirit away from me!

Matt 17:2 And he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.  Matt 28:2 Suddenly there was a severe earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descending from heaven came and rolled away the stone and sat on it.

Matt 28:3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.

Rev 1:13 and in the midst of the lampstands was one like a son of man. He was dressed in a robe extending down to his feet and he wore a wide golden belt around his chest.  Rev 1:14 His head and hair were as white as wool, even as white as snow, and his eyes were like a fiery flame.  Rev 1:15 His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

Rev 1:16 He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp double-edged sword extended out of his mouth. His face shone like the sun shining at full strength.

2Cor 3:15 But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds,

2Cor 3:16 but when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.

2Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom.

2Cor 3:18 And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Day 50

50 – He is righteous

Ps 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Ps 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Ps 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Ps 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Ps 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Ps 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Ps 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Ps 37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

Ps 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Rom 1:17 For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written, “The righteous by faith will live.”

2Cor 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

2Cor 6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

2Cor 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

2Cor 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Acts 4:30 while you extend your hand to heal, and to bring about miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Day 52

52 – The Holy Spirit brings wisdom

being filled with the Holy Spirit brings wisdom

Eph 5:15 Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise,

Eph 5:16 taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Eph 5:17 For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise by understanding what the Lord’s will is.

Eph 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit,

Doing His will, understanding His will, hearing Him.

Ps 111:10 To obey the LORD is the fundamental principle for wise living; all who carry out his precepts acquire good moral insight. He will receive praise forever.

1Thess 5:12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who labor among you and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you,  1Thess 5:13 and to esteem them most highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.  1Thess 5:14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the undisciplined, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.  1Thess 5:15 See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.  1Thess 5:16 Always rejoice, 1Thess 5:17 constantly pray,

1Thess 5:18 in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1Thess 5:19 Do not extinguish the Spirit.

1Thess 5:20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt. 1Thess 5:21 But examine all things; hold fast to what is good. 1Thess 5:22 Stay away from every form of evil.

1Pet 4:1 So, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same attitude, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin,

1Pet 4:2 in that he spends the rest of his time on earth concerned about the will of God and not human desires.

Eph 4:10-26 = Not walking in the vanity of my mind. but renewed in the spirit of my mind.

Rom 1:24 Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.

Rom 1:25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Day 53

53 – He is a treasure

Prov 7:1 My child, keep my words and treasure up my commands in your own keeping.

Matt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Keep my eyes and ears on you.

Matt 19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

2Cor 4:6 For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.

2Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that the extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us.

Col 2:2 My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ,  Col 2:3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Col 2:4 I say this so that no one will deceive you through arguments that sound reasonable.

Col 2:5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your morale and the firmness of your faith in Christ.  Col 2:6 Therefore, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,  Col 2:7 rooted and built up in him and firm in your faith just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Day 54

Luke 8:11 “Now the parable means this: The seed is the word of God.

Luke 8:12 Those along the path are the ones who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.  Luke 8:13 Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in a time of testing fall away. Luke 8:14 As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the worries and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

Luke 8:15 But as for the seed that landed on good soil, these are the ones who, after hearing the word, cling to it with an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with steadfast endurance.

Day 57

57 – The Holy Spirit reveals

Acts 8:29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”
Acts 8:30 So Philip ran up to it and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. He asked him, “Do you understand what you’re reading?”
Acts 8:31 The man replied, “How in the world can I, unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

John 3:34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly.

Thank you, Holy Spirit for being unlimited.

Heb 3:6 But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. We are of his house, if in fact we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope we take pride in.
Heb 3:7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Oh, that today you would listen as he speaks!
Heb 3:8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness.

Day 59

59 – The Holy Spirit participates with us

Rom 11:17 Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them and participated in the richness of the olive root,

Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

Eph 5:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Partake, have fellowship

Heb 13:1 Brotherly love must continue. Heb 13:2 Do not neglect hospitality, because through it some have entertained angels without knowing it.  Heb 13:3 Remember those in prison as though you were in prison with them, and those ill-treated as though you too felt their torment.  Heb 13:4 Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers. Heb 13:5 Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.”  Heb 13:6 So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Heb 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke God’s message to you; reflect on the outcome of their lives and imitate their faith.   Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!

Heb 13:9 Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals, which have never benefited those who participated in them.
Heb 13:10 We have an altar that those who serve in the tabernacle have no right to eat from.
Heb 13:11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood the high priest brings into the sanctuary as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp.  Heb 13:12 Therefore, to sanctify the people by his own blood, Jesus also suffered outside the camp.  Heb 13:13 We must go out to him, then, outside the camp, bearing the abuse he experienced.  Heb 13:14 For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.

Heb 13:15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, acknowledging his name.  Heb 13:16 And do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.

Heb 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Occupied

Eph 3:5 Now this secret was not disclosed to people in former generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,

Eph 3:6 namely, that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.

Co-participant, sharer, associate

2Pet 1:21 for no prophecy was ever borne of human impulse; rather, men carried along by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

2Pet 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Father, get me through the gate, please.

Jas 1:21 So put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls.

Jas 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Help me accept, welcome and receive with humility and meekness Your word, message.

1Thess 1:5 in that our gospel did not come to you merely in words, but in power and in the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction (surely you recall the character we displayed when we came among you to help you).

1Thess 1:6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, when you received the message with joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, despite great affliction.

Day 61

61 – He is our master.  We are His slaves.

You are going to be a slave to either one thing or the other.

The only choice you have is which one.

Matt 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

mammon = avarice personified

G3126 μαμμωνᾶς mammonas (mam-mo-nas`) aram.

  1. mammonas, i.e. avarice (deified)

[of Chaldee origin (confidence, i.e. wealth, personified)]   KJV: mammon

Rom 6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not!

Rom 6:16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or obedience resulting in righteousness?

Rom 6:17 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves to sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were entrusted to,  Rom 6:18 and having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.  Rom 6:19 (I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.) For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification. Rom 6:20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness. Rom 6:21 So what benefit did you then reap from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.  Rom 6:22 But now, freed from sin and enslaved to God, you have your benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life.

Rom 6:23 For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Eph 6:5 Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart as to Christ, Eph 6:6 not like those who do their work only when someone is watching – as people-pleasers – but as slaves of Christ doing the will of God from the heart.

Eph 6:7 Obey with enthusiasm, as though serving the Lord and not people,

Day 62

62 – The Holy Spirit owns us

Isa 1:3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

Jer 8:6 I have listened to them very carefully, but they do not speak honestly. None of them regrets the evil he has done. None of them says, “I have done wrong!” All of them persist in their own wayward course like a horse charging recklessly into battle.

Jer 8:7 Even the stork knows when it is time to move on. The turtledove, swallow, and crane recognize the normal times for their migration. But my people pay no attention to what I, the LORD, require of them.

Ps 24:1 A psalm of David. The LORD owns the earth and all it contains, the world and all who live in it.

Ps 95:7 For he is our God; we are the people of his pasture, the sheep he owns. Today, if only you would obey him!

Jude 1:4 For certain men have secretly slipped in among you – men who long ago were marked out for the condemnation I am about to describe – ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Col 4:1 Masters, treat your slaves with justice and fairness, because you know that you also have a master in heaven.

Col 4:2 Be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.

Eph 6:9 Masters, treat your slaves the same way, giving up the use of threats, because you know that both you and they have the same master in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

Eph 6:10 Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power.

Ps 50:10 For every wild animal in the forest belongs to me, as well as the cattle that graze on a thousand hills.
Ps 50:11 I keep track of every bird in the hills, and the insects of the field are mine.
Ps 50:12 Even if I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and all it contains belong to me.

Day 63

63- He forgives

Only God forgives.

Mark 2:7 “Why does this man speak this way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Have you ever tried to forgive someone but couldn’t?

first sincerity.

admit own weakness – I can’t truly forgive down deep in my soul.

Then ask Him to forgive you.  The same way.

Father, by your Holy Spirit, turn my heart toward you.  Open my eyes to focus on your goodness.  Thank you for forgiving me.  I don’t deserve it and yet you are so gracious to do it anyway.  You kind and loving beyond my comprehension.

Not only that but it cost God a lot to purchase forgiveness.  It cost Him His only son.

Gen 22:2 God said, “Take your son – your only son, whom you love, Isaac – and go to the land of Moriah! Offer him up there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will indicate to you.”

Picture being relieved of money you owe to someone.  Now imagine you owe eternal life in hell for turning away from the Holiness of God.  Its not wrong.  It is justice that evil people get the correct result of their actions.  Unholy and unforgiven actions.  We must go to debtor’s prison in a way because when we die we owe a lot of money.

Luke 7:47 Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little loves little.”

Luke 7:48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

forgiven much loves much.  We have all been forgiven very very much.  Father help me realize how much of a sinner I really am.  Soften my heart and open my mind to the truth.  You are very Holy and I am very forgiven.

Luke 7:41 “A certain creditor had two debtors; one owed him five hundred silver coins, and the other fifty.
Luke 7:42 When they could not pay, he canceled the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”
Luke 7:43 Simon answered, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled.” Jesus said to him, “You have judged rightly.”

The thing is other people don’t love Jesus more because they are bigger sinners and owe more.  They simply realize more the depth of how much they owed Him.  We all our infinitely indebted to Him.

Holy Spirit help me grow in understanding of how high and deep and wide your love is.  I love you.

Eph 3:16 I pray that according to the wealth of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,

Eph 3:17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, so that, because you have been rooted and grounded in love,

Eph 3:18 you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, Eph 3:19 and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Day 64

64 – The Holy Spirit undoes paradoxes

by becoming more unified with Him.

a paradox can serve to  move me out of my mind and into my heart.

here is one – He makes the wisdom of this world confounded.

Matt 11:25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.
Matt 11:26 Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.
Matt 11:27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal him.
Matt 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matt 11:29 Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matt 11:30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry.”

There is no real conflict – when you get to know Him.

Like the Trinity.  It is impossible for 1 to be 3 and 3 to be one.  And yet God revealed this wonderful aspect of who He is.  So I believe it because He told me to and I walk in understanding toward Him.

Its kind of like changing my mind.  Sometimes changing the mind is easy.  sometimes very hard.

the more unsettling the paradox the more called I am to seek God for the answer.

‘take my yoke and you will find rest’  is a paradox because it is saying work and rest in the same sentence.  And yet it makes sense.  He’s not saying work till you drop.  He’s saying what He requires is not hard to carry.

Jesus is not a hard taskmaster.

And He is saying so much more.  That if I become more unified with Him I will find the rest that I  have been seeking.

Here is another ‘Contradiction’

Prov 26:4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you yourself also be like him.

Prov 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own estimation.

The conflict is should we answer a fool or not?

Sometimes we answer a fool and sometimes we don’t.  The point is no matter how you deal with the fool something bad comes out of it.

I like trying not to be wise in my own eyes and its ok to be a fool for Christ.  God’s foolishness is our precious wisdom.

1Cor 1:18 For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1Cor 1:19 For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will thwart the cleverness of the intelligent.”

Day 65

65 – The Holy Spirit washes and renews

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her
Eph 5:26 to sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of the water by the word,
Eph 5:27 so that he may present the church to himself as glorious – not having a stain or wrinkle, or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.

Col 3:7 You also lived your lives in this way at one time, when you used to live among them.
Col 3:8 But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.
Col 3:9 Do not lie to one another since you have put off the old man with its practices
Col 3:10 and have been clothed with the new man that is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the one who created it.
Col 3:11 Here there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all and in all.

Day 66

66 – He anoints us

1John 2:27 Now as for you, the anointing that you received from him resides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, it is true and is not a lie. Just as it has taught you, you reside in him.
1John 2:28 And now, little children, remain in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink away from him in shame when he comes back.
1John 2:29 If you know that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness has been fathered by him.

1Pet 1:22 You have purified your souls by obeying the truth in order to show sincere mutual love. So love one another earnestly from a pure heart.
1Pet 1:23 You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.

Ps 45:7 You love justice and hate evil. For this reason God, your God has anointed you with the oil of joy, elevating you above your companions.

Day 67

67 – He is life and we live by Him

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Gal 5:24 Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Gal 5:25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one another.

John 6:63 The Spirit is the one who gives life; human nature is of no help! The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Gen 2:7 The LORD God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Acts 17:24 The God who made the world and everything in it, who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands,
Acts 17:25 nor is he served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone.

John 20:21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent me, I also send you.” John 20:22 And after he said this, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

John 20:23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone’s sins, they are retained.”

Acts 8:15 These two went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.

Day 68

68 – The Holy Spirit dispels all deception

Matt 22:29 Jesus answered them, “You are deceived, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.

Mark 12:24 Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you deceived for this reason, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God?

2Cor 11:2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.  2Cor 11:3 But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his treachery, your minds may be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

2Cor 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Jas 1:21 So put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls. Jas 1:22 But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves.

2John 1:3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

John 4:14 But whoever drinks some of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again, but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”

John 7:38 let the one who believes in me drink. Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water.’”

70 – He gives 7 gifts  (70 x 7)

Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit.

Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

7 gifts are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord.

WYC     And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the spirit of counsel and of strength, the spirit of knowing and of piety;

Col 1:9 For this reason we also, from the day we heard about you, have not ceased praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

Col 1:10 so that you may live worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects – bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,  Col 1:11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of all patience and steadfastness, joyfully

Col 1:12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.

Col 1:13 He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves,  Col 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,

Col 1:16 for all things in heaven and on earth were created by him – all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers – all things were created through him and for him.  Col 1:17 He himself is before all things and all things are held together in him.

Col 1:18 He is the head of the body, the church, as well as the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that he himself may become first in all things. Col 1:19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in the Son  Col 1:20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself by making peace through the blood of his cross – through him, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

Col 1:21 And you were at one time strangers and enemies in your minds as expressed through your evil deeds, Col 1:22 but now he has reconciled you by his physical body through death to present you holy, without blemish, and blameless before him –

1Chr 10:13 So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD and did not obey the LORD’s instructions; he even tried to conjure up underworld spirits.

1Chr 10:14 He did not seek the LORD’s guidance, so the LORD killed him and transferred the kingdom to David son of Jesse.

Gen 24:12 He prayed, “O LORD, God of my master Abraham, guide me today. Be faithful to my master Abraham.

Ps 16:7 I will praise the LORD who guides me; yes, during the night I reflect and learn.

Ps 25:5 Guide me into your truth and teach me. For you are the God who delivers me; on you I rely all day long.

Isa 42:16 I will lead the blind along an unfamiliar way; I will guide them down paths they have never traveled. I will turn the darkness in front of them into light, and level out the rough ground. This is what I will do for them. I will not abandon them.

Luke 1:79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Luke 1:80 And the child kept growing and becoming strong in spirit, and he was in the wilderness until the day he was revealed to Israel.

John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come.

John 16:14 He will glorify me, because he will receive from me what is mine and will tell it to you.

Day 73

73 – He brings love and clears deception

If I am deceived how do I know it?

Jesus guides me out of it.

Prov 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

I must judge less.  Even if I know what is right for you, I am still judging.

I only can do what I can do.  I can;t convince you of anything,  so do it,

Teaching and pastoring is hard.  Help me encourage like you do Father,

Prov 21:31 A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory is from the LORD.

For everything belongs to you,
1Cor 3:22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. Everything belongs to you,
1Cor 3:23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

John 7:15 Then the Jewish leaders were astonished and said, “How does this man know so much when he has never had formal instruction?”
John 7:16 So Jesus replied, “My teaching is not from me, but from the one who sent me.
John 7:17 If anyone wants to do God’s will, he will know about my teaching, whether it is from God or whether I speak from my own authority.
John 7:18 The person who speaks on his own authority desires to receive honor for himself; the one who desires the honor of the one who sent him is a man of integrity, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

love guards against deception

2John 1:5 But now I ask you, lady (not as if I were writing a new commandment to you, but the one we have had from the beginning), that we love one another.

2John 1:6 (Now this is love: that we walk according to his commandments.) This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning; thus you should walk in it.

2John 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, people who do not confess Jesus as Christ coming in the flesh. This person is the deceiver and the antichrist!

2John 1:8 Watch out, so that you do not lose the things we have worked for, but receive a full reward.

2John 1:9 Everyone who goes on ahead and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. The one who remains in this teaching has both the Father and the Son.

2John 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house and do not give him any greeting,

Day 74

74 – The Holy Spirit is zealous

Rom 12:11 Do not lag in zeal, be enthusiastic in spirit, serve the Lord.

Rom 12:12 Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

KJV: be fervent

1Pet 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

fervently = G1619 (Mickelson’s Enhanced Strong’s Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries)

G1619 ἐκτενῶς ektenos (ek-ten-oce`) adv.

  1. intently [adverb from G1618] KJV: fervently

Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Ps 42:1 For the music director; a well-written song by the Korahites. As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God!

Titus 2:14 He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good. [zealous]

1Tim 4:15 Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that everyone will see your progress.
1Tim 4:6 By pointing out such things to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, having nourished yourself on the words of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.
1Tim 4:7 But reject those myths fit only for the godless and gullible, and train yourself for godliness.
1Tim 4:8 For “physical exercise has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. It holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.”
1Tim 4:9 This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.
1Tim 4:10 In fact this is why we work hard and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of believers.

John 2:17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will devour me.”

Day 75

75 – He is the builder

Luke 20:16 He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When the people heard this, they said, “May this never happen!”

Luke 20:17 But Jesus looked straight at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?

Luke 20:18 Everyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.”

Dan 2:44 In the days of those kings the God of heaven will raise up an everlasting kingdom that will not be destroyed and a kingdom that will not be left to another people. It will break in pieces and bring about the demise of all these kingdoms. But it will stand forever.

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility,
Eph 2:15 when he nullified in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace,
Eph 2:16 and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed.
Eph 2:17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,
Eph 2:18 so that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
Eph 2:19 So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household,
Eph 2:20 because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
Eph 2:21 In him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
Eph 2:22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

1Pet 2:1 So get rid of all evil and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.
1Pet 2:2 And yearn like newborn infants for pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up to salvation,
1Pet 2:3 if you have experienced the Lord’s kindness.
1Pet 2:4 So as you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but chosen and priceless in God’s sight,
1Pet 2:5 you yourselves, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood and to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1Pet 2:6 For it says in scripture, “Look, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and priceless cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will never be put to shame.

1Pet 2:7 So you who believe see his value, but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,
1Pet 2:8 and a stumbling-stone and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. 1Pet 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1Pet 2:10 You once were not a people, but now you are God’s people. You were shown no mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Selah means value.  So value God.

                                                75 cont.

1Sam 7:12 Samuel took a stone and placed it between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Up to here the LORD has helped us.”

1Sam 7:13 So the Philistines were defeated; they did not invade Israel again. The hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

Rom 12:1 Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice – alive, holy, and pleasing to God – which is your reasonable service.

 -or present your whole self

AMPC      I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

ERV     So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him—an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way.

EXB     ·So [Therefore] brothers and sisters, since God has shown us great mercy, I ·beg [urge; appeal to] you to offer your ·lives [selves; L bodies] as a living sacrifice to him. Your offering must be ·only for God [holy] and pleasing to him, which is the ·spiritual [or authentic; true; or appropriate; fitting; or rational; reasonable] way for you to worship.

GNT      So then, my friends, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer.

ICB       So brothers, since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him. Your offering must be only for God and pleasing to him. This is the spiritual way for you to worship.

1John 3:16 We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.

John 3:16 For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Heb 3:4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place he would later receive as an inheritance, and he went out without understanding where he was going.

Heb 11:9 By faith he lived as a foreigner in the promised land as though it were a foreign country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were fellow heirs of the same promise.

Heb 11:10 For he was looking forward to the city with firm foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

1Pet 2:7 So you who believe see his value, but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, 1Pet 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

Day 76

76 – He makes us hear and act on His word

1Pet 2:7 So you who believe see his value, but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,

Deut 8:1 You must keep carefully all these commandments I am giving you today so that you may live, increase in number, and go in and occupy the land that the LORD promised to your ancestors.
Deut 8:2 Remember the whole way by which he has brought you these forty years through the desert so that he might, by humbling you, test you to see if you have it within you to keep his commandments or not.
Deut 8:3 So he humbled you by making you hungry and then feeding you with unfamiliar manna. He did this to teach you that humankind cannot live by bread alone, but also by everything that comes from the LORD’s mouth.

Deut 8:17 Be careful not to say, “My own ability and skill have gotten me this wealth.”
Deut 8:18 You must remember the LORD your God, for he is the one who gives ability to get wealth; if you do this he will confirm his covenant that he made by oath to your ancestors, even as he has to this day.

Deut 10:12 Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you except to revere him, to obey all his commandments, to love him, to serve him with all your mind and being,

Deut 11:22 For if you carefully observe all of these commandments I am giving you and love the LORD your God, live according to his standards, and remain loyal to him,

Deut 13:4 You must follow the LORD your God and revere only him; and you must observe his commandments, obey him, serve him, and remain loyal to him.

Deut 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Deut 14:3 You must not eat any forbidden thing.

Deut 14:22 You must be certain to tithe all the produce of your seed that comes from the field year after year.

Deut 15:1 At the end of every seven years you must declare a cancellation of debts.

Deut 15:4 However, there should not be any poor among you, for the LORD will surely bless you in the land that he is giving you as an inheritance,

Deut 15:19 You must set apart for the LORD your God every firstborn male born to your herds and flocks. You must not work the firstborn of your bulls or shear the firstborn of your flocks.
Deut 15:20 You and your household must eat them annually before the LORD your God in the place he chooses. Deut 15:21 If they have any kind of blemish – lameness, blindness, or anything else – you may not offer them as a sacrifice to the LORD your God.
Deut 15:22 You may eat it in your villages, whether you are ritually impure or clean, just as you would eat a gazelle or an ibex.
Deut 15:23 However, you must not eat its blood; you must pour it out on the ground like water.

Deut 30:6 The LORD your God will also cleanse your heart and the hearts of your descendants so that you may love him with all your mind and being and so that you may live.

Deut 30:20 I also call on you to love the LORD your God, to obey him and be loyal to him, for he gives you life and enables you to live continually in the land the LORD promised to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

Deut 32:4 As for the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. He is a reliable God who is never unjust, he is fair and upright.

Deut 32:39 “See now that I, indeed I, am he!” says the LORD, “and there is no other god besides me. I kill and give life, I smash and I heal, and none can resist my power.

Deut 34:7 Moses was 120 years old when he died, but his eye was not dull nor had his vitality departed.

Deut 34:10 No prophet ever again arose in Israel like Moses, who knew the LORD face to face.

Matt 7:1 “Do not judge so that you will not be judged.

Matt 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.

Matt 6:9 So pray this way: Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,
Matt 6:10 may your kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Matt 6:11 Give us today our daily bread,
Matt 6:12 and forgive us our debts, as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors.
Matt 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
Matt 6:14 “For if you forgive others their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matt 6:19 “Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.
Matt 6:23 But if your eye is diseased, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Matt 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
Matt 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than food and more to the body than clothing?

Day 77

77 – The Holy Spirit is for marriage

Prov 30:33 For as the churning of milk produces butter and as punching the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife.

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, “Stop urging me to abandon you! For wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you live, I will live. Your people will become my people, and your God will become my God.

Thank you God for answering me about marriage

stick with it.  blessings will come.

“There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24 (NKJV)

Who is this friend – Jesus.

  1. He’ll stick with you through tough times.
  2. He’ll accept you just as you are.
  3. He’ll reach beyond His comfort zone for you.
  4. He’ll offer you words of comfort and hope.
  5. He put your needs first when He went to the cross for you.

Help me to love as you love

Day 78

78 – He is creative

Matt 1:20 When he had contemplated this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Luke 1:35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called the Son of God.

Ps 33:6 By the LORD’s decree the heavens were made; by a mere word from his mouth all the stars in the sky were created.

Ps 104:29 When you ignore them, they panic. When you take away their life’s breath, they die and return to dust.
Ps 104:30 When you send your life-giving breath, they are created, and you replenish the surface of the ground.
Ps 104:31 May the splendor of the LORD endure! May the LORD find pleasure in the living things he has made!
Ps 104:32 He looks down on the earth and it shakes; he touches the mountains and they start to smolder.
Ps 104:33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist!
Ps 104:34 May my thoughts be pleasing to him! I will rejoice in the LORD.
Ps 104:35 May sinners disappear from the earth, and the wicked vanish! Praise the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD!

Day 79

79 – The Holy Spirit fills us with hope

Rom 12:12 Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

Rom 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ps 39:7 But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope!

ס (Samek)

Ps 119:114 You are my hiding place and my shield. I find hope in your word.

Prov 23:16 my soul will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.

Prov 23:17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but rather be zealous in fearing the LORD all the time.

Prov 23:18 For surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

Prov 23:19 Listen, my child, and be wise, and guide your heart on the right way.

Jer 14:22 Do any of the worthless idols of the nations cause rain to fall? Do the skies themselves send showers? Is it not you, O Lord our God, who does this? So we put our hopes in you because you alone do all this.”

1Cor 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.

1Cor 13:5 It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.

1Cor 13:6 It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.

1Cor 13:7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1Cor 13:8 Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.

2Cor 3:12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we behave with great boldness,

Eph 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called,
Eph 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
Eph 4:3 making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you too were called to the one hope of your calling,
Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Day 80

80 – Where the Spirit is there is freedom

2Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom.

Gal 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.

Gal 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity to indulge your flesh, but through love serve one another.
Gal 5:14 For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.”
Gal 5:15 However, if you continually bite and devour one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another.

Jas 2:12 Speak and act as those who will be judged by a law that gives freedom.

Jas 2:13 For judgment is merciless for the one who has shown no mercy. But mercy triumphs over judgment.  Jas 2:14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith save him? Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacks daily food, Jas 2:16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it?

1Pet 2:15 For God wants you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.

1Pet 2:16 Live as free people, not using your freedom as a pretext for evil, but as God’s slaves.

1Pet 2:17 Honor all people, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the king.

Day 81

81 – He loosens pride

Luke 1:51 He has demonstrated power with his arm; he has scattered those whose pride wells up from the sheer arrogance of their hearts.

Luke 1:51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

Ps 12:2 People lie to one another; they flatter and deceive.
Ps 12:3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts!
Ps 12:4 They say, “We speak persuasively; we know how to flatter and boast. Who is our master?”
Ps 12:5 “Because of the violence done to the oppressed, because of the painful cries of the needy, I will spring into action,” says the LORD. “I will provide the safety they so desperately desire.”
Ps 12:6 The LORD’s words are absolutely reliable. They are as untainted as silver purified in a furnace on the ground, where it is thoroughly refined.
Ps 12:7 You, LORD, will protect them; you will continually shelter each one from these evil people,
Ps 12:8 for the wicked seem to be everywhere, when people promote evil.

Prov 16:5 The LORD abhors every arrogant person; rest assured that they will not go unpunished.

Prov 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

   also see whole prov 16

Give Him the glory.  The credit is yours Jesus.  You do it – everything.  You did it, and you will do it forever.  Praise you Jesus.

1Tim 6:4 he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in controversies and verbal disputes. This gives rise to envy, dissension, slanders, evil suspicions,

1Tim 6:17 Command those who are rich in this world’s goods not to be haughty or to set their hope on riches, which are uncertain, but on God who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment.

Jas 4:1 Where do the conflicts and where do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this, from your passions that battle inside you?
Jas 4:2 You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask;
Jas 4:3 you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions.
Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.” Jas 4:7 So submit to God.

Day 82

82 – The Holy Spirit is honest and sincere

Ps 101:5 I will destroy anyone who slanders his neighbor in secret. I will not tolerate anyone who has a cocky demeanor and an arrogant attitude.

Ps 101:6 I will favor the honest people of the land, and allow them to live with me. Those who walk in the way of integrity will attend me.

Ps 101:7 Deceitful people will not live in my palace. Liars will not be welcome in my presence.

Prov 24:26 Like a kiss on the lips is the one who gives an honest answer.

Luke 8:15 But as for the seed that landed on good soil, these are the ones who, after hearing the word, cling to it with an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with steadfast endurance.

Ps 145:17 The LORD is just in all his actions, and exhibits love in all he does.
Ps 145:18 The LORD is near all who cry out to him, all who cry out to him sincerely.
Ps 145:19 He satisfies the desire of his loyal followers; he hears their cry for help and delivers them.
Ps 145:20 The LORD protects those who love him, but he destroys all the wicked.

Col 3:22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in every respect, not only when they are watching – like those who are strictly people-pleasers – but with a sincere heart, fearing the Lord.

Acts 2:46 Every day they continued to gather together by common consent in the temple courts, breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with glad and humble hearts,

2Cor 1:12 For our reason for confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with pure motives and sincerity which are from God – not by human wisdom but by the grace of God – we conducted ourselves in the world, and all the more toward you.

Day 83

83 – He is on fire

Matt 3:11 “I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am – I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Matt 3:12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clean out his threshing floor and will gather his wheat into the storehouse, but the chaff he will burn up with inextinguishable fire.”

Heb 12:28 So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.

Heb 12:29 For our God is indeed a devouring fire.

Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Day 84

84 – He opens my ears

Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phil 4:7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Phil 4:9 Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

I can hear God, through the Holy Spirit.

Help me listen, Jesus.

Ps 40:6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; my ears have you opened: burnt offering and sin offering have you not required.

Matt 13:15 For this people’s heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Matt 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Mark 7:32 And they brought unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they besought him to put his hand upon him.
Mark 7:33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
Mark 7:34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
Mark 7:35 And immediately his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly.

Mark 8:16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
Mark 8:17 And when Jesus knew it, he said unto them, Why reason you, because you have no bread? perceive you not yet, neither understand? have you your heart yet hardened?
Mark 8:18 Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? and do you not remember?
Mark 8:19 When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? They said unto him, Twelve.
Mark 8:20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? And they said, Seven.
Mark 8:21 And he said unto them, How is it that you do not understand?

Mark 7:18 And he said unto them, Are you so without understanding also? Do you not perceive, that whatsoever thing from outside enters into the man, it cannot defile him;
Mark 7:19 Because it enters not into his heart, but into the belly, and goes out into the drain, purging all foods?
Mark 7:20 And he said, That which came out of the man, that defiles the man.
Mark 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Mark 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
Mark 7:23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Forgive me for evil thoughts

Please forgive my adulteries (loving anyone or anything more than you)

Forgive my fornications and sexual sins (lusting)

forgive me for murder (anger and hatred toward people)

forgive me for theft (taking what is not mine)

forgive me for covetousness and wanting material things

forgive me for wickedness

forgive me for deceit

forgive me for licentiousness (lacking moral restraint)

forgive me for an evil eye

forgive me for blasphemy (using your name in vain)

forgive me for pride

and forgive me for foolishness

1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1John 2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever.

Mark 7:20 He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.
Mark 7:21 For from within, out of the human heart, come evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder,
Mark 7:22 adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly.

Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.  Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely. Rev 21:7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Day 86

86 – He abides in me

Isa 26:9 With my soul have I desired you in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek you early: for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Ps 61:4 I will abide in your tabernacle forever: I will trust in the shelter of your wings. Selah.

John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.

John 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue you in my love.

John 15:10 If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

1John 2:10 He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.

1John 2:17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever.

1John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that deceive you.

1John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.

1John 3:6 Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.

1John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

1John 3:24 And he that keeps his commandments dwells in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Come Holy Spirit dwell and live in me.

Day 87

87 – He is our Father

Rom 8:15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.

Rom 8:16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When you pray, say, Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

Ps 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.
Ps 34:9 O fear the LORD, you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him.
Ps 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
Ps 34:11 Come, you children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

Prov 14:23 In all labor there is profit: but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty.
Prov 14:24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
Prov 14:25 A true witness delivers souls: but a deceitful witness speaks lies.
Prov 14:26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
Prov 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.

Matt 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
Matt 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matt 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matt 18:5 And whoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.

Acts 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word,
Acts 4:30 By stretching forth your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of your holy child Jesus.

Eph 5:1 Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.

Eph 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Eph 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever does make manifest is light.
Eph 5:14 Therefore he says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.

Day 88

88 – The Holy Spirit chastens

Ps 118:18 The LORD has chastened me severely: but he has not given me over unto death.
Ps 118:19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
Ps 118:20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
Ps 118:21 I will praise you: for you have heard me, and have become my salvation.

I was going to write that He is wonderful and marvelous.  But He chastened me. =

keep wondering about Him.  Seek Him

keep asking questions

Is this thought from you?   How great are you O God?

It turns out Bible isn’t all that keen on wonders.  they are primarily the plagues in egypt.  jesus doesn’t like people coming to him just to see wonders and:

2Thess 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

I guess wondering in the way of questioning faith would seem a bad thing.

Lets try meditating – no better

Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither do you premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak you: for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

“I don’t want you  to just think about me.  I want you to talk to me.”

Ps 105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
Ps 105:2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk of all his wondrous works.
Ps 105:3 Glory in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Ps 105:4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
Ps 105:5 Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

Ps 118:23 This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
Ps 118:24 This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

The Holy Spirit is Jesus.  Jesus is the gate and the gatekeeper.  We walk through Him to get to salvation.  Unlike evil that wants us to open our gate to him.  Jesus opens himself to us.  We only need to walk through.  By doing His word.  Loving Him and loving people who are an extension of Him.

Thank you Holy Spirit.

Day 89

89 – He reveals Jesus to us and in us

John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now.
John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
John 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.

Rom 5:5 And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given unto us.

Day 90

90 – He is my home He dwells with me

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.  John 14:4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.
John 14:5 Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not where you go; and how can we know the way?
John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also: and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him.

John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments.  John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;  John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.  John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you see me: because I live, you shall live also.

John 14:20 At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

Prepare the way of the Lord.  Ask for forgiveness.  Make a place in your heart for Jesus.

If I have no earthly home that is OK.  Paul and Jesus did not either

1Cor 4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;

Matt 8:20 And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head.

My home is in you Jesus
