Jesus be with you

Mark Ch4 farmer says plant

What kind of person talks about sowing?
A farmer?   A person who knows about seeds?  A person who plants into other people’s lives:

Mark 4:3-9 (KJ2000) ” 3 Listen; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. 5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. 8 And others fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some a hundred. 9 And he said unto them, He that has ears to hear, let him hear.”

14 The sower sows the word.

What if Jesus is not like a farmer but farmers are like Him?

God is the farmer prime. The one who planted the first seed. The one who plants seeds in me everyday.

‘Jesus, help me be good ground.’
Mark 4:26-29 (KJ2000) ” 26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how. 28 For the earth brings forth fruit of itself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full grain in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest is come.”

Mark 4:1 (KJ2000) ” 1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. ”

Mark 4:35-40 (KJ2000) ” 35 And the same day, when the evening was come, he said unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him just as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the rear of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awoke him, and said unto him, Teacher, care you not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are you so fearful? how is it that you have no faith?”

‘Jesus, help me harvest where and what you say. Help me recognize full grown plants.”
v. 39 = peace be still

and the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
How is it that you have no faith.
‘Father plant faith in me over and over, Millions of seeds of Your faith that may sprout and grow into big faith trees. Thank you.’

Prov 12:11 (KJ2000) ”

11 He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread:

but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding. ”

I need to work and serve.
Humanly Jesus saw his neighbors farming if He didn’t do it himself. He walked by the fields everyday. His disciples plucked heads of wheat off the field:

Mark 2:23-28 (KJ2000) ” 23 And it came to pass, that he went through the grain fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain. 24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? 25 And he said unto them, Have you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, he, and they that were with him? 26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to them who were with him? 27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Fields were known like we know cars, and (tablets, phones & computers)

Ezek 36:9 (KJ2000) ” 9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and you shall be tilled and sown: ”

Delight in God and He has more of what delights you.
He has an unlimited amount in fact.

Other field references:

After ‘speaking’ converting ‘loving’ the Samaritan woman:

John 4:34-38 (KJ2000) ” 34 Jesus said unto them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not, There are yet four months, and then comes harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit unto life eternal: that both he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together. 37 And in this is that saying true, One sows, and another reaps. 38 I sent you to reap that on which you bestowed no labor: other men labored, and you are entered into their labors.”

‘Let my food also be to do your will, Jesus.’

1Cor 3:9 (KJ2000) ” 9 For we are laborers together with God: you are God’s field, you are God’s building. ”

John 15:1-8 (KJ2000) ” 1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine dresser. 2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he prunes it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. 6 If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples.”

This also means my Father is the farmer.

DLNT “I am the true grapevine, and My Father is the farmer.”
John 15:1 (WEB) ” 1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. ”

Plan what is good
Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.
Proverbs 14:22 NIV

John 4:35 (WEB) ” 35 Don’t you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest?’ Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already. ”

This verse is remarkable. It is Mark 4.

So we have Jesus preaching from a boat about being good soil.
He says the harvest is ready.
He says have faith at the end sailing in a rough sea.
Cast your seed.
Hear the word of God receive it and produce fruit. His fruit.

Mark 4:30-32 (KJ2000) ” 30 And he said, With what shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32 But when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all plants, and shoots out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.”

It is not that I am great. But He is so great that when His love wins it provides a castle of safety and security for all those around. His love falls on the good and evil alike.

It is not my place to judge anyway. Other than judging myself.
‘Father forgive me for my clay like and untilled soil.
Help me be fertile for you only. Plant your seeds in me that I may produce fruit.’
His kingdom is like a grain of mustard seed. It looks really small and insignificant. This is what doing acts of kindness look like. Or serving someone a meal or doing anything for anyone in need.

It looks pitiful like a mustard seed.
And yet. Jesus love gentle servitude Wins.
This grows into the greatest of all plants.
‘Your kingdom is the greatest Jesus, not me.’
Forgive me for being tempted to want to be the greatest myself. At other times I only want people to look at you because i see and know my own horrible lackingness.

Luke 9:46-48 (KJ2000) ” 46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, as to which of them should be greatest. 47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him beside him, 48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receives me: and whosoever shall receive me receives him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.”

‘Whoever is least.’ This is not whoever says they are not great (trying to be falsely humble) . It really is the most disgusting and lowest people known. Jesus uses the example of a child. Not because we are suppossed to act childish but because no one values children. What do they know? They are in a position of less. They are least. These are the greatest in the kingdom.
There is hope for these. God will save them. I will help. I will do my part.
Thank you Jesus. Help me be your hands and feet.

Luke 9:13-17 (KJ2000) ” 13 But he said unto them, Give you them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; unless we should go and buy food for all this people. 14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in companies. 15 And they did so, and made them all sit down. 16 Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and broke, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. 17 And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.”

God wants me to feed them. How? He will give more than enough. He provides abundantly for the needs of the lowly. I am here to promote His will. To be the conduit of His love to those who need the most.
Zeph 3:17 (KJ2000) ” 17 The LORD your God in the midst of you is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over you with joy; he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. ”
