water-in-glass

God is overwhelmingly big.

The world and life are like the snow covering everything except one speck of evil.
Help me Jesus not to focus on the tiny speck but to be thankful for all your goodness.
The glass is not half full it is almost full to overflowing.
God is infinitely more powerful than the devil.

(Acts 4:24) And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, you are God, who has made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them:
(Acts 4:29) And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word,
(Acts 4:30) By stretching forth your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of your holy child Jesus.

Jesus is born is about faith. It seems logical that Mary lied. No woman gets pregnant by God alone. It takes a man. We all know how it works and if someone claims they are pregnant by God, we know they are lying.
And yet I believe. Millions have believed. Can you?

(1John 4:4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
(1John 4:5) They are of the world: therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
(1John 4:6) We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
The fours

(Jas 4:2) You lust, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not.
(Jas 4:3) You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it upon your lusts.
(Jas 4:4) You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
(Jas 4:5) Do you think that the scripture says in vain, The spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy?
(Jas 4:6) But he gives more grace. Therefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble.
(Jas 4:7) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(Jas 4:8) Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
(Jas 4:9) Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
(Jas 4:10) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
v 4 be friends with God
v 7 submit to Him. Resist the devil.

The devil has zero power unless people participate with him.

(John 14:26) But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
(John 14:27) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
(1John 4:1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
(1John 4:2) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
(1John 4:3) And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, of which you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
(1John 4:4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Sometimes I don’t want to learn and I don’t like my situation. But I must learn to like discipline and learning. Learning always involves changing. Growing and changing can hurt but that does not mean they are evil. Just painful. And pain is not always bad. A muscle aches when it is growing. Like lifting weights to gain strength through exercise.

I wouldn’t say exercise is evil even though it is difficult and not joy producing. When I continue with it there eventually is joy but the joy should not be my determining factor for whether exercise is good. I have faith through the pain of it. I know it will be for my benefit no matter what it seems like through the difficulty of it.

Last but not least a cool video about Jesus redemptive power:
